We all leave things behind. Sometimes they aren't important, sometimes they are. My Favorite YouTube Video of the Week. The Dog Who Returns What You Left... ON THE PLANE!
This gets my award for the best idea and feel good video of the month. We are accustomed to seeing dogs in airports. Dogs for crowd control, dogs for drug sniffing, dogs for explosives, drugs, etc.
But the Royal Dutch airline KLM has a much better idea. Let that beagle use his nose to immediately return the stuffed animals, the cell phones, the headsets that are invariably left behind on flights. So here is the deal. Passengers depart. Immediately the flight attendants go through the airplane, looking for left behind items. When they find one, SuperNose Dog (my name for him) runs on board, sniffs the item, which is placed in a pouch on a vest he is wearing (actually one of several pockets).
SuperNose then takes off all by himself for the baggage claim area, finds each of the owners by scent. The owner sees their stuffed animal tied to the vest, or their cell phone in a pocket, and says thank you to a very special dog.
Estate planning? No. But maybe we should all have a dog like that, but for planning for the future. One that picks up all the things we mean to do, or bring with us, but forget to do because we are in a hurry to get to the next place. What a great dog that would be. I want one.
And for those who say this is a marketing stunt, we still need more help in all we do.
